COLLEGE

HERE ARE SOME OF MY FASHION DESIGN PROJECTS FROM COLLEGE. I GRADUATED IN 2015, IMAGINE HOW MUCH I’VE GROWN SINCE!

Senior Thesis

"Becoming" is a fashion collection blending delicate textures and transparent fabrics. Inspired by a woman living in Manhattan, it captures her passion for art as she opens her gallery in the big city. With colors inspired by Delftware and designs influenced by Mark Rothko, this collection offers extravagantly embellished garments for her lifestyle. "Becoming" symbolizes her journey, strength, and transformation, providing the perfect attire to showcase her artistic soul and sophisticated style as she steps into the spotlight.

Evening Gown

The objective of this project was to create an evening gown that reflects current trends and our design aesthetic. I was inspired by the emerging popularity of straps. My goal was to design a gown that is elegant yet edgy. From afar, the gown appears simple, but up close, the intricate layering and detailed construction become evident, showcasing the craftsmanship involved.

Knitwear

Inspired by the movement of ocean water. This knitted sweater dress was made with mohair yarn, ombre’, and super soft white chunky yarn. The ombre effect gives the illusion of looking out over the sea. Techniques used to create this garment, “tuck & hold”, hand-knitted ribs, and encased edges. This sweater is comfortable and is perfect for cold temperatures.

Abercrombie & Fitch Interview

I designed a small collection for Abercrombie & Fitch, called ‘Well-Traveled Soul’.
